Hyderabad Trade License

All companies doing business in Hyderabad must obtain a trade license from the GHMC within 30 days of starting operations. If the application was complete in every way when it was submitted, and no more information or queries are pending, the GHMC will sanction any GHMC trade license application within 7 days of the application.

GHMC Trade License Authority

Depending on the establishment's categorization, several conditions may apply for the GHMC trading license to be granted. The Dy. Commissioner is the approving authority for eating and medical institutions, while the Asst. Medical Officer of Health is in charge of field inspections.

The Zonal Commissioner is the approval authority and the License Officer of GHMC is the field inspection authority for non-eating and non-medical facilities.

The Dy. Commissioner is the approval authority for tiny establishments, and Asst. The field inspection authority is the GHMC licensing officer.

The Chief Veterinary Officer serves as the approval authority and the Veterinary Officer as the field inspection authority for the meat, chicken, and veterinary trades.

Documents Required for GHMC Trade License

GHMC has recently simplified the list of documents required for obtaining a trade license in Hyderabad. Now, the following documents are sufficient to obtain Hyderabad Trade License:

  • Aadhaar Card – Individual
  • PAN or Incorporation Certificate – Business
  • Lease Deed or Legal Occupancy
